
Get in on the Sammys’ action by participating in our annual People’s Choice vote.
Each year we host a Web-based competion to see whose fans are the most psyched about your favorite bands, venues and other members of the Syracuse music community. Since 2007, the Sammys has attracted thousands of voters through its online voting system.
The People’s Choice vote is currently open. The contest will run from July 27, 2010, through Oct. 6, 2010.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The contest will move through a few rounds of voting that go like this: ROUND 1
Voters are encouraged to “write in” as many of their favorite bands as possible, and then to return to vote for their favorites each day. At the end of the round, the top 128 bands by total votes are selected as finalists for the remainder of the contest.
ROUND 2
Until the week of the Sammys award show, you may vote once per day for your favorite finalists. Each Wednesday, starting Aug. 18, 2010, the total amount of finalists in the running with be cut in half During the final weeks, we’ll post information on our Web site about the final few contestants.

Voting instructions: Please fill in the following form to complete your vote. Certain fields, marked with an asterix (*) are required. By submitting your vote, you will also be automatically added to our e-mailing list, through which you will receive important updates about the Syracuse Area Music Awards.
During the first round of voting, you may write in OR select your candidate.
Anyone can vote for any band or venue. You can vote for only a band or only a venue, or both. However, you may only vote once per day, so cast your votes carefully. Have fun and happy voting!
