All musicians within a 60-mile radius are invited to send the Sammys recordings each year.
Those recordings may then be eligible for our annual album awards, which are grouped by genre categories (rock, country, folk, etc.).
Sammys annual album awards are meant to inspire innovation and creativity in Central New York's music scene.

Submissions will be accepted from December 1, 2012 through January 4, 2013.
People's Choice voting will be done via the Sammys' website.
HOW DO I SUBMIT AN ALBUM?
The only requirements for submitting an album are (1) it was recorded by a band or artist living within 60 miles of Syracuse, NY; (2) albums must have been released between October 2011 and December 31, 2012; (3) all submissions must be sent with a valid submission form, available via this Web site.
STEP ONE: CHECK THE REQUIREMENTS
Make sure that your album was released during the eligibility period. If your album’s jacket art doesn’t indicate when the album was released, please send a letter with your submission explaining when it was released.
STEP TWO: GET A SUBMISSION FORM
All albums must be submitted with an official registration form. Be sure to fill the form out completely, and to indicate the genre category in which you’d like your album to be considered.
STEP THREE: MAIL IT IN
Simply mail your album in to the Sammys as per the directions on the official submission form. Albums will not be returned, so be sure to make a copy for yourself. Your album will be sent to our independent panel of music judges and considered during various rounds of the selection process.
