2020 SAMMY Induction Ceremony & Awards Show
The 2020 SAMMYS Induction Ceremony & Awards Show celebrate and recognize the outstanding talent of local musicians, as well as, the achievements of industry professionals with Syracuse roots.
The two day event is scheduled for Thursday & Friday, March 5-6, 2020. Thursday, March 5, 2020, the SAMMY Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place Upstairs @ the Dino. The SAMMY Award Show will be Friday, March 6, 2020, at the Palace Theatre on James Street in Syracuse.
Tickets for both events go on sale February 4, 2020 and will be available for purchase at syracuseareamusic.com/tickets.

Submit Your Work!
Local Musicians, Bands, and Artists are encouraged to submit their commercially available recordings; released between January 1 – December 31, 2019. Recorded Submissions will be reviewed by the SAMMYS Panel of judges. Judges are comprised of a team of Music Industry Professionals from across the country. Official submission form and instructions will be available online December 1 at syracuseareamusic.com/submissions. Submission deadline is Monday, January 6, 2020.
SAMMY Nominees Press Conference
The 2020 SAMMYS Press Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 10:00am, at the Palace Theatre. At that time, the nominees from 2019 recorded music submissions will be announced in their category, in addition to the 2020 Hall of Fame inductees.
People’s Choice Submissions and Voting
The 2020 People’s Choice online open submission phase begins January 1, 2020. The public is encouraged to nominate your favorite venue to see live music, your favorite local artist, and your favorite music series or festival. This year we are adding a 4th category to include Live, Local Academic or Musical Organizations. Online voting begins January 14, 2020.
